Flood Survey for Victims
The Punjab government has deployed 1,629 flood survey teams across 26 districts to assess damages and register victims. These teams are visiting door-to-door, collecting details of affected homes, crops, and families. So far, more than 8,305 houses and over 48,000 individuals have been surveyed. Dedicated survey teams are collecting household data to identify deserving families and ensure quick relief.
Restoration of Infrastructure
Floods destroyed key infrastructure including roads, protective embankments, and bridges, leaving many areas disconnected. To address this, the Punjab government launched rapid reconstruction works. Over 23,000 feet of damaged roads have been repaired, restoring access to schools, hospitals, and markets. In addition, 1,250 feet of embankments have been rebuilt to protect villages from further flooding. A 283-foot bridge has also been fully restored, reconnecting cut-off communities. Roads, embankments, and bridges are being reconstructed to restore connectivity in flood-affected regions.
Transparent and Fast Process
Transparency is a top priority in Punjab’s flood relief operations. To ensure fair distribution, authorities are using digital data collection systems that record every surveyed household in real time. This prevents duplication and guarantees that deserving families receive immediate support. More than 27,000 people have already received direct relief, while thousands more are being assisted daily.
